Davide Santon joined Newcastle United from Inter Milan in 2011.

The defender ultimately spent three and a half seasons with the Magpies, making 94 appearances in all competitions for the Premier League outfit, including 82 in the top flight of English football.

Once considered a wonderkid, Santon returned to Inter in 2015, spending another three years with the Serie A giants before joining Roma in 2018.

Santon only turned 28 earlier this year and had things worked out differently then the eight-time Italy international might have still been turning out for Newcastle.

Santon has been quoted as saying that he ‘still follows’ the Magpies and will always have a special place in his heart for the English club.

As expected, the Italian’s words led to a number of Newcastle fans revealing their views on Santon, who should be now approaching the peak years of his career.
